Abstract: The paper examined the optimization of bread production in Rufus Giwa Polytechnic Bakery, Owo, Ondo State, Nigeria, using linear programming technique. Three types of bread produced by the bakery were considered in the research and which are medium bread (X1), large bread (X 2) and extra-large bread (X 3) respectively. Data were collected for four (4) weeks based on temperature per unit of production of the breads using a pocket infrared thermometer so as to know if there will be any deviation in the mode of operation but everything proved to be the same since the process follows a repetitive process of production. The data was analyzed using LINGO software version 15. The findings revealed that optimal solution was attained at X3=1.175 and Zmax =47572.28. It is therefore recommended that the institution bakery should stop producing medium and large bread and produce 235pieces of extra-large bread only from 1.175unit (i.e. 1bag of flour) per day for them to make a maximum profit of #47572.28($239.19) per day or the unit profit on the medium bread and large bread must increase to #39474.87($198.48) and #37450.52($188.30) before it becomes economical to produce.

Abstract: Database Management Systems (DBMSs) is a critical component of modern computing of research and development in both academia and industry. Database Management Systems were among the earliest multi-user server systems to be developed and thus pioneered many systems design techniques for scalability and reliability now in use in many other contexts. Different resources and information between different devices are located in different places always based on internet connection are shared by Cloud computing. Additionally, cloud DBMS is a database management system which acts through cloud computing. The number of these DBMS which act through cloud computing is expected to increase in the future which is worth mentioning. This paper presents an architectural discussion of DBMS design principles including process models parallel architecture, query processor and optimizer architectures and typical shared components and utilities. Open-source systems are used as points of reference, when multiple alternative designs have been adopted by different groups. Additionally, in this paper, also discussed about DBMS advantages and disadvantages, and focus on the way how to offer a cloud DBMS as one of the best services. The research focus on three main characteristics of cloud computing which are considered as the most worried issues of cloud platform and review cloud database challenges such as: internet speed, multi-tenancy, privacy and security. This Paper thus express the need for a new DBMS designed specifically for cloud computing environments.

Abstract: The main objective of this report examines the present status, problems and prospects of E-banking in Bangladesh. This study has been done mainly based on primary and secondary sources of data or information, which included different publications, journals and different books. The primary data is collected from respondents through structured interview schedule. To accomplish this report we have implemented the interviewing approach on Dutch-Bangla Bank Limited. Bangladesh, particularly who avail the electronic banking services. Dutch-Bangla Bank is acting as a pioneer in this sector. Customers who were habituated with e-banking thinks that e-banking services were relatively good than manual system, but they not satisfied with the quality of services and bank personnel behavior to that extent. There were total 11 questions and the sample size of 100 registered e-banking clients of DBBL. Collected data were summarized and analyzed by using SPSS version 22, MINITAB 17 and Microsoft Excel. This paper addressed significant gaps in existing knowledge about the electronic banking and landscape. The results showed that e-banking serves several advantages to Bangladeshi banking sector, however, this study also observed that the customers of DBBL have not enough knowledge regarding e-banking which is rendering by banking sector in Bangladesh. This study will help to know how one bank can improve the level of electronic banking services in Bangladesh and what were the potential issues or services that should be introduced in society to facilitate the customer in a better way and to complete their rivals in banking industry as a whole.

Abstract: To study the optimal decisions of suppliers and assemblers in an assembly product supply chain which contains two generations of product. With updated components, a dynamic assembly product supply chain model whose demand is time-varying was built based on product diffusion model. The optimal dynamic pricing decisions and profits of all entities in the supply chain were acquired through theoretical analysis and simulation based on Stackelberg and Nash game. Some insights have been derived: The profits of two assemblers are increased, while two suppliers’ profits are relatively reduced if the two assemblers cooperate with each other. The growth rates of suppliers’ wholesale prices of two generations of products are opposite, and those of assemblers’ retail prices are also opposite whether two assemblers are cooperative or not. With cooperation, the ranges of wholesale prices changing over time are higher, while the ranges of assemblers’ retail prices changing over time are lower than those without cooperation.
